PUBLIC HEALTH ADVOCACY NEPAL

A Youth-Led Health Advocacy Program

Public Health Advocacy Nepal (PHAN) is a youth-led health advocacy campaign for preventive medicine, founded in 2017 in Nepal. It is a community-based, bottom-up approach program primarily established with the aim of promoting public health through innovation and entrepreneurship. It also provides the advocacy platform for meaningful youth engagement in health promotion and disease prevention as well as the socio-economic development sector at the grassroots levels. It mainly focuses on highly vulnerable rural communities and helps to bring them into the mainstream of national development. Currently, we are working on the Maternal and Child Health, Child Nutrition, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Environmental Health, and women's Health Literacy for Gender Equality, as well as the Disaster Management, Humanitarian Crisis, and Volunteering services to bring positive changes in the community.

WHY ARE SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS (SRHR) SO IMPORTANT IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19?

Sometimes, focusing only on the global pandemic can overshadow other aspects of health. And, the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) comes at the front during the crisis. It is urgent and equally important in response to COVID-19.
